Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By using Oceanic Express, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Oceanic Express Inc. ("Oceanic Express", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Service Description

Oceanic Express provides domestic and international shipping, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and logistics management services. We act as a carrier or as a logistics intermediary depending on the service selected. Specific service terms and SLAs are detailed in the applicable Service Schedule provided at booking.

3. Account Registration

You must register an account to access most of our Services. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@courier.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be shipped using our Services:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances not authorised by law
  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons without proper licensing
  • Hazardous materials not declared and packaged per IATA/IMDG regulations
  • Counterfeit goods or items infringing intellectual property rights
  • Live animals (except where we have a specific certified service agreement)
  • Currency, negotiable instruments, or precious metals beyond declared value limits

5. Pricing & Payment

Quoted prices are based on declared weight, dimensions, and service level at the time of booking. Oceanic Express reserves the right to charge additional fees if actual package dimensions or weight differ materially from those declared. Payment is due at time of booking unless you hold an approved credit account. Overdue balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month.

6. Liability & Claims

Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the declared value of the shipment or the applicable statutory limit under the applicable convention (Warsaw, Montreal, or CMR as relevant). Basic coverage of $100 is included on all shipments; higher declared value coverage is available for an additional fee.

Claims for damage must be filed within 7 days of delivery. Claims for loss must be filed within 30 days of the expected delivery date. Claims submitted outside these windows will not be accepted.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Newark, New Jersey, except where prohibited by applicable law.
